Veep renewed for third season

ARMANDO Iannucci’s political sature Veep has been renewed for a third season.

Starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President of the United States Selina Meyer, the series rates as HBO’s most-watched comedy and recently pulled in viewing figures of 1.3 million.

It has also earned Louis-Dreyfus an Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy.

The ensemble cast includes Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy C. Simons, Sufe Bradshaw and Kevin Dunn.

Veep joins fellow comedies Girls and Eastbound & Down among HBO’s slate of returning series.

The network is also set to premiere Christopher Guest’s Family Tree and Stephen Merchant’s Hello Ladies later this year.
