White Heat's David Gyasi for Doctor Who role

WHITE Heat star (and all-round nice guy) David Gyasi has landed a role in the seventh season of Doctor Who.

According to a report in the Evening Standard, the actor is one of several incoming stars for the returning series, which has also confirmed the re-appearance of The Daleks.

Gyasi is currently riding high off the success of his performance alongside the talented ensemble of White Heat. But he can also shortly be seen on the big screen in films including The Dark Knight Rises, Red Tails and Cloud Atlas.

He has previously appeared in Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood.

Other guest stars confirmed for the next series of Doctor Who include Ben Browder, Rupert Graves, David Bradley and Mark Williams.

In addition to The Daleks, another returning foe will be the Weeping Angels.

Doctor Who is currently scheduled to return to BBC1 in the autumn.
