Zack Snyder’s Justice League (The Snyder Cut) - Teaser trailer released by HBO Max

Justice League

HBO Max has offered a first look at the HBO Max Justice League: Snyder Cut . The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much but it does do enough to suggest that it will be vastly different from the critically-derided cinema release.

The snippet features Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman discovering a mysterious artefact, with a voiceover evoking Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) dialogue from the end of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), in which he teased a grave threat was coming to Earth.

Snyder has, of course, previously confirmed that the classic DC villain Darkseid will be in his cut of Justice League.

Snyder famously had to step away from Justice League in 2017 after a family tragedy, prompting Warner Bros to enlist Joss Whedon to step in and oversee reshoots and post-production.

The Whedon theatrical cut underwhelmed at the box office, earning $657.9 million globally, and soon fans were demanding Snyder be given a chance to complete his own vision, culminating in the fabled Snyder Cut that will now air exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
