CHRIS Sullivan’s one man show, A Bit of Irish, opens on St Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17, at the Jermyn Street Theatre where it runs for just one week – until Saturday, March 22, 2008.

A Bit of Irish is described as a theatrical evening of Irish celebration, featuring songs, poems, limericks, a multitude of stories and audience participation – all from or about Ireland.

In 2002, Sullivan performed at both the Jermyn Street Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival. He has also played extensive sold out engagements in Los Angeles and now comes to London direct from the Santa Monica Playhouse in California.

An award-winning Irish/British actor, writer and director, Sullivan has played many leading roles in repertory seasons around the UK in plays by Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, John Arden, Alan Ayckbourn, Neil Simon and many others. He subsequently created the role of David in Glenn Chandler’s controversioal play A Treat at London’s Soho Theatre; and played Father Mulloy in a UK tour of Mike Harding’s Fur Coat and No Knickers.

As well as having one hundred British TV and film appearances to his credit, Sullivan has just completed his first novel, The Storyteller.
