Adopt an Actor at Shakespeare’s Globe
Theatre news
THE 2012 theatre season at Shakespeare’s Globe is now underway with critically-acclaimed productions of Henry V, The Taming of the Shrew and Richard III.
Now you can ask some of the starring actors what it’s like behind the scenes at the Globe, how they prepare for their roles and how it feels to perform on the Globe’s unique stage.
Globe Education is asking what questions you would like to put to the actors in exclusive interviews published on its popular Adopt an Actor website.
Actors available for ‘adoption’ include Jamie Parker (playing the title role in Henry V and star of The History Boys), Roger Lloyd Pack (Buckingham in Richard III and known for his roles in Only Fools and Horses and The Vicar of Dibley), and Samantha Spiro (feisty Katherina in The Taming of the Shrew).
Questions can be sent by email to adoptanactor@shakespearesglobe.com, or posted via the Globe’s official Twitter and Facebook pages. If you come to a performance at the Globe, you may also be asked for the burning questions you would like to see asked.
The best questions will be put to the actors in their final interviews of the season, to be published online at www.shakespearesglobe.com/education/discovery-space/adopt-an-actor.
