Arrows - Greenwich Playhouse
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
BRIGHT Heights Theatre Company will present the premiere of the Willy Russell Foundation award winning play, Arrows, at Greenwich Playhouse from June 6 to July 2, 2006.
Matthew Lander’s comedy is about friendship and the nature of love.
Have you ever walked into a pub and felt that you shouldn’t have? That’s what happens to Ben, a good looking university student, when he walks into ‘The Army and Navy’ and meets Brian, the landlord and captain of the pub’s darts team.
Before long, he finds himself playing in the team along with a hippy with an anger problem, an Asian postman and a rough chancer called Tony.
An unlikely friendship develops between Ben and Tony which is put to the test when Ben meets Tony’s girlfriend, Lisa. Tony however, has other problems….
Can he pay off his debts to Gabby Kelly, the Irish Godfather, prove his love for Lisa and, most importantly, win the inner city darts league?
Mark Pollard will direct
Tickets: £11 (£8 concessions)
