ON April 26, 2010, former X Factor contestant Niki Evans will return to the role of Mrs Johnstone in the West End production of Blood Brothers, which is currently booking at the Phoenix Theatre until November 27, 2010.
Evans, who first took on the role of Mrs Johnstone in November 2008, replaces Melanie C who took over from Evans in October 2009. She will stay with the production until August 21, 2010.
Blood Brothers is the moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences. The score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.
The current production, which opened at the Albery Theatre on August 27, 1988 and last year celebrated its 21st birthday, is directed by Bob Thomson and Bill Kenwright and designed by Marty Flood.
The current cast also includes Craig Price, Stephen Palfreman, Richard Reynard, Louise Davidson, Louise Clayton, Stephen Pallister, Michael Southern, Rob Hughes, Alastair Brookshaw, Amy O’Neill, Alex Harland, Anna Sambrooks and Karl Greenwood.
