Bracken Moor - casting announced
FULL casting has been announced for the world premiere of Alexi Kaye Campbell’s dark and mysterious new play, Bracken Moor. Presented by the Tricycle Theatre and Shared Experience, it runs at the Kilburn venue from June 14 (previews from June 6) to July 20, 2013.
The line up includes Antony Byrne (as John Bailey/Dr Gibbons), Daniel Flynn (Harold), Natalie Gavin (Aileen), Helen Schlesinger (Elizabeth), Simon Shepherd (Geoffrey), Joseph Timms (Terence) and Sarah Woodward (Vanessa).
He calls me sometimes. Usually in the dark hours of the morning. ‘Mummy’ he cries. ‘Where are you? Come and find me.
After years apart, two families come together to rediscover their lost friendship, but as they try to move forward they are plunged into a terrifying encounter with the past. As they struggle to make sense of the extraordinary events that unfold before their eyes, even the strongest of beliefs are shaken to the core.
Alexi Kaye Campbell’s new play is described as a boldly theatrical and compelling tale of grief and denial set in 1930s Yorkshire: a world overshadowed by economic crisis.
Bracken Moor is directed by Polly Teale.
