Bunnies - New Diorama Theatre

Bunnies

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

BIKE Shed Theatre is presenting Kieran Lynn’s Bunnies at the New Diorama Theatre – from October 26 (previews from October 23) to November 3, 2012.

The once beautiful land is blighted by non-native species, including the grey squirrel, the Chinese mitten crab, the Siberian chipmunk, the Topmouth Gudgeon and, even, the European rabbit. They are reeking havoc. Fortunately Stamper, a local farmer, has a solution.

Bunnies is a play concerning a farmer’s radical attempt to restore his land to its supposed former glory, and the differing reactions of his children.

David Lockwood directs a cast that includes Jolyon Westhorpe, Annette Chown and Richard Pullman.

Kieran Lynn’s previous writing credits include An Incident at the Border (Finborough Theatre and Trafalgar Studio 2), A Volunteer From the Audience (Liverpool Everyman Theatre), An Advert for the Army (Oran Mor, Glasgow) and The Recurring Rise and Fall (Hampstead Theatre).

Bunnies is designed by Stuart Crewes, Rachel Duthie and Paul Bull.

Tickets: £10.50/£12.50 – available from the box office on 0207 383 0934 or online at www.newdiorama.com/.

Times: 7:30pm, Saturday matinees at 3:30pm.
