DARIO Fo’s farce, Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay!, will be performed at Putney Arts Theatre from Tuesday, September 15 to Saturday, September 19, 2009.
Described as an hilarious, sharply satirical take on individual responsibility and politics, Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! depicts working class people who are fed up with the high prices in the supermarket and frustrated by constant strikes.
As a result, they take the law into their own hands in a rather familiar sounding climate of economic downturn.
Barney Hart Dyke, with assistant director Clare Martin, directs a cast that includes Vicky Allies, Angie Fullman, Tim Iredale, David Alexander and Rufus Cooper.
