DUE to huge demand for tickets, Witness for the Prosecution has extended its run on London’s South Bank until September 16, 2018. Tickets for the new booking period are now on sale at

Previously Posted: Casting has been announced for a major new production of Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution, which is being staged on London’s South Bank this October in a unique court room setting inside County Hall.

Directed by Lucy Bailey, it runs from October 23, 2017 (previews from October 6) to March 11, 2018.

Catherine Steadman, best known for her role as Mabel Fox in Downton Abbey and nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance in Oppenheimer, takes on the role of Romaine, while rising star Jack McMullen, whose recent work includes hard-hitting TV drama Little Boy Blue, Waterloo Road and Noel Clarke’s Brotherhood, plays Leonard Vole

The line up also includes David Yelland (The Crown, Foyle’s War) as Sir Wilfrid Robarts, Philip Franks (Art, Noises Off) as Mr Myers, Patrick Godfrey (Half Life, Mr Turner) as Sir Justice Wainwright and Roger Ringrose (Broadchurch, Mr Selfridge) as Mr Mayhew.

Completing the cast are Richard Attlee, Elliot Balchin, Alexandra Guelff, Miranda Horn, Jon House, Jules Melvin, Hywel Simons and Alex Stedman.

Witness for the Prosecution finds Leonard Vole accused of murdering a widow to inherit her wealth. The stakes are high. Will Leonard survive the shocking witness testimony? And will he be able to convince the jury of his innocence and escape the hangman’s noose?

Described as a gripping tale of justice, passion and betrayal, Witness for the Prosecution is being staged in The Chamber, a magnificent court room setting inside London County Hall, where the audience will find themselves thrillingly placed in the thick of the action.
