Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
CHRISTMAS in New York, now in its fourth year, returns to the West End for one night only, December 6, 2009. And this year’s venue is the Prince of Wales Theatre.
Described as ‘a multi-layered chocolate box of musical moments’, the show includes contemporary interpretations of well known seasonal songs and brand new compositions by both British and American musical theatre composers.
Stars taking part this year include Julie Atherton (Avenue Q, The Last Five Years), Samuel Barnett (The History Boys), Daniel Boys (Avenue Q), Ashleigh Gray (Wicked), Leanne Jones (Hairspray), Paul Spicer (The Last Five Years), Oliver Tompsett (Wicked), Hannah Waddingham (A Little Night Music) and Rachael Wooding (Hairspray).
Christmas in New York is from the team behind the hugely successful Notes From New York series.
Mamma Mia! is normally playing at the Prince of Wales Theatre where it’s currently booking until March 26, 2011.
