Digital Theatre on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Theatre news

DIGITAL Theatre has announced an update to its app for Apple’s iOS, allowing audiences to buy and watch the best of British theatre on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The update, which follows the launch of Digital Theatre’s app for iPad in January, allows productions to be purchased directly through the app and brings full shows to the iPhone and iPod Touch for the first time.

All of Digital Theatre’s productions are now available to stream through the app, including Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate, All My Sons starring David Suchet and Zoë Wanamaker, the Young Vic’s multi award-winning A Doll’s House and Digital Theatre’s most recent release – the Almeida Theatre’s King Lear starring Jonathan Pryce.

The Digital Theatre app also gives access to four critically acclaimed productions from Shakespeare’s Globe’s 2010 season, part of Digital Theatre Collections.

Users who have already installed version 1.0 of the Digital Theatre app for iPad should update automatically via the App Store to version 1.1.

The Digital Theatre app is available now in the App Store as a free download.

You can now buy shows instantly with in-app purchases; get daily inspiration with The Journal and watch on your TV with Apple TV and Airplay.
