Drag Divas - The Green Carnation

FOLLOWING its success at the Arts Theatre in 2012, Drag Divas returns to the capital, this time to Soho’s cabaret venue The Green Carnation, where it runs for a limited four week season – from May 1 to May 26, 2013.
Drag Divas celebrates the world’s greatest divas past and present, including Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Madonna, Dusty Springfield, Celine Dion, Kylie, Cher, Amy Winehouse, Brittany Spears, Tina Turner, Beyonce and Dame Shirley Bassey.
There will also be ‘hilarious’ musical tributes to The Spice Girls (like you have never seen them before) Lulu, Edith Piaf and Kate Bush.
Hosted by Lady La Rue, Drag Divas features numbers such as Hot Stuff, Baby Love, Stop In The Name Of Love, Material Girl, I Want to Dance with Somebody, Chain Reaction, Natural Women, Valerie, Think, Simply the Best and Back to Black.
The all-male cast includes Stephen Bacon, Leo Loren, Roberto Angrisani, Matthew Frost, Joel Burman, Duane Gooden and Bobby Houston.
Drag Divas is written and directed by Simon Gross, with staging by Lewis Butler and musical direction by Roberto Angrisani.
Tickets: £18.50 (seating unreserved on a first come first served basis).
Times: Wednesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, Sundays at 4pm. Doors open half an hour before curtain up.
NB: A bar will be open throughout the whole performance.
