EVERY Tuesday night until May 27, 2008, Blag Theatre Company will present Entertainment …My Arts! at the West End’s Arts Theatre.
Described as a fast-paced comedy cabaret revue, Entertainment…My Arts! spoofs show tunes, characters and plots of contemporary and current Broadway and West End musicals, from Mary Poppins, Avenue Q and Chicago to Lord of the Rings and Fiddler on the Roof. Nothing, it seems, is Taboo!
The cast will also poke fun at reality TV shows such as The X Factor and Big Brother and, in a fast-paced section entitled Now They Have Words, give lyrics to classic movie scores, from Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind to the Pearl and Dean adverts.
The cast includes Lynn Beaumont, Richard Beaumont, Lucy Gwynne-Evans, John Holland and Jean Warner.
Hertfordshire-based Blag Theatre Company have been spoofing successfully for seven years. Their previous shows include Ding Dong Merrily… But Why?, Return to the Forgotten Decade… The 50s, Rip ‘Em Off and O Little Town of Basildon.
