Faith Brown Up Front, a celebration of the entertainer’s 30-year career, will visit The Pigalle Club in London – on June 18, 2007 – as part of a UK tour which begins on May 23 at Wakefield Theatre Royal.

Singer, comedienne and pioneering female impersonator, Brown’s television career was launched with appearances on Who Do You Do? (1975-6) – a showcase for a generation of impressionists and comics – and Ken Dodd’s World of Laughter (1976).

In 1980 she presented The Faith Brown Chat Show, in which she used split screen special effects to interview herself in a succession of celebrity personas. Her “guests” included Kate Bush, Pam Ayres, Barbra Streisand, Lene Lovich, Angela Rippon, Eartha Kitt, Diana Ross, Mary Whitehouse and Donna Summer.

Brown also appeared in Brookside (as Anne Bradley) and the Doctor Who episode, Attack of the Cybermen (as Flast). In 2004 she appeared in the Living TV reality show, I’m Famous and Frightened!, and won.

She was seen most recently in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! and as Norma Desmond in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Sunset Boulevard.

Faith Brown Up Front will also visit Truro, High Wycombe, Weymouth, Cardiff, Skegness, Brentwood, Stoke on Trent, Croydon, Lowestoft, Leamington Spa, Ryhl, Dunstable, Dartford and Weston Super Mare.
