Fatal Attraction - Mark Bazeley and Kristin Davis join cast

Casting update

MARK Bazeley and Kristin Davis (as Dan and Beth Gallagher) will join the previously announced Natascha McElhone in Trevor Nunn’s production of Fatal Attraction, which opens at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on March 25, 2014, with previews now starting on March 11.

A story of obsession and revenge, Fatal Attraction explores how a chance meeting in a bar and a casual encounter quickly becomes a living nightmare for Dan Gallagher, a successful New York lawyer, and his young family.

After spending one weekend with the gorgeous Alex Forrest, he assumes he can just walk away, but Alex is a woman who refuses to be ignored. She pursues Dan and his family with terrifying consequences.

Mark Bazeley was last on stage in Trevor Nunn’s production of Scenes from a Marriage at St James Theatre. His other theatre credits include Our New Girl (Bush Theatre), The Seagull (National Theatre), Death of a Salesman (Lyric Theatre), Macbeth (Albery Theatre), Homebody/Kabul (Young Vic) and The Real Thing (Donmar Warehouse).

His screen work includes Death in Paradise, The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, Endeavour, The Accused, Mistresses, Hustle, Spooks and Prime Suspect (TV); The Queen, The Damned United and The Special Relationship (film).

Best known for playing Charlotte in HBO’s Sex and the City, Kristin Davis’ other television credits include Brooke Armstrong in Melrose Place and more recently Ginny in Bad Teacher, as well as guest appearances on Will & Grace, Friends, Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show and ER. She has also appeared in numerous films, among them Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Sex and The City 1 & 2, Couples Retreat, Deck The Halls, The Shaggy Dog and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D.

In 2012, Davis made her Broadway stage debut in Gore Vidal’s The Best Man at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. But it was in 2006, following an off-Broadway run, that she made her British stage debut playing Sunny Jacobs in The Exonerated at Hammersmith’s Riverside Studios. She also performed in the Brave New World season, a three day marathon of 50 original works that commemorated the September 11 attacks. Fatal Attraction marks her West End stage debut.

Also joining the cast of Fatal Attraction will be Jane How as Joan and Alex Lowe as Jimmy. Final casting will be announced shortly.

Fatal Attraction is currently booking to June 21, 2014.
