Previously Posted: Following a sell-out season at the Lyric Hammersmith, Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson’s Ghost Stories transfers to the West End’s Duke of York’s Theatre, where it runs from July 13 (previews from June 25) to November 7, 2010.
Three men gather, each with an uncanny tale to tell: their chilling stories ‘bleeding off the stage and into your dreams’.
Billed as a ‘truly terrifying theatrical experience’, Ghost Stories contains moments of extreme shock and tension and is therefore unsuitable for anyone under the age of 15 or those with a nervous disposition.
The cast includes Andy Nyman, who sets the tales in motion, Nicholas Burns (Fat Pig), David Cardy and Ryan Gage.
Nyman, who won the Best Entertainment Olivier Award in 2005 for Something Wicked This Way Comes, is also the award-winning co-writer and co-creator of the acclaimed TV productions Derren Brown – Mind Control and Trick of the Mind. And he co-wrote and co-directed Derren Brown Live, An Evening of Wonders as well as Brown’s most recent live show, Enigma.
Dyson has won numerous awards as the co-writer of the hilariously bleak The League of Gentlemen, including a Perrier Award, Bafta Award for Best Comedy and the Golden Rose of Montreux. While the stage show he co-penned, A Local Show for Local People, was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2002.
Bedroom Farce continues at the Duke of York’s Theatre until June 19, 2010.
