FULL casting has been announced for Michael Buffong’s production of God’s Property by award-winning playwright and actor Arinze Kene.

The production will preview at the Albany from February 20 to February 23, 2013, before its premiere at Soho Theatre, where it runs from February 26 to March 23.

God’s Property explores the relationship between two estranged mixed race brothers living in Deptford in 1982, against a backdrop of economic downturn, rising youth unemployment and a riot charged atmosphere.

The cast includes Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ash Hunter as the brothers Chima and Onochie, Ria Zmitrowicz as Holly and Bradley Gardner as Liam.

Kingsley Ben-Adir’s recent theatre credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), The Westbridge (Royal Court Theatre) and The Riots (Tricycle Theatre and Bernie Grant Arts Centre).

Ash Hunter’s theatre work includes A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Almeida Theatre), Gravity (Birmingham Rep) and A Clockwork Orange (Theatre Royal Stratford East).

Ria Zmirowicz, who received the Scotsmen Fringe Award for Emerging Talent for her performance in Chapel Street (Underbelly and Bush Theatre), has also appeared on stage in Skanky (Arcola Theatre) and The Grandfathers (NT Connections at the Oval House Theatre).

Bradley Gardner’s theatre credits include Saved (Lyric Hammersmith), Big Love (Gate Theatre) and United East West (Soho Theatre).

God’s Property is designed by Ellen Cairns, with lighting by Jason Taylor and sound by Jack Arnold.
