Head/Heart - Theatre503

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

DESPITE lack of funding, Box of Tricks Theatre is embarking on their first small-scale regional tour with the world premières of Head and Heart.

Described as an explosive double bill, the two short plays exploring love and loss in the 21st Century will be performed at Theatre503 from Tuesday, July 19 to Thursday, July 21, 2011.

The plays, inspired by the themes of ‘head’ and ‘heart’, will be directed by Adam Quayle and Hannah Tyrrell-Pinder and presented with specially-created video art by Carolina Vasquez and original music by Isobel Waller-Bridge. Designs are by Stephanie Williams.

The cast is recent RADA graduate Andrew Martyn-Lewis and Greer Dale-Foulkes, who was seen in HighTide’s Lidless (Edinburgh and West End) last year. That production was also directed by Box of Tricks’ Artistic Directors, Adam Quayle and Hannah Tyrrell-Pinder.

The tour will also visit Burton Taylor Studio, Oxford Playhouse (June 29 and 30), Brewery Theatre, Bristol Tobacco Factory (July 7), Martin Harris Centre, Manchester (Not Part Of Festival) (July 8 and 9) and Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter (July 14 – 16).
