Jazz in the Chickenshed Theatre Bar

100 Years of Jazz

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

ON FRIDAY, May 23, 2014, six brilliant multi-instrumentalists – Enrico Tomasso, Pete Long, Nick Dawson, Dave Chamberlain, Richard Pite and Georgina Jackson – will be creating a highly entertaining jazz journey, taking in everything from New Orleans to Chicago, Chicago to New York, Dixieland to Bebop, and from Swing to Funk.

It promises to be a breath-taking and rich evening of jazz which is not to be missed.

Jazz nights at Chickenshed were founded in 1994 by Berny and Julian Marc Stringle and have gone from strength to strength ever since. Based in North London, the Jazz bar offers a truly great jazz venue that is as well known for the calibre of the musicians it attracts as it is for the quality of the sound and the intimacy of the venue.
