Leicester Square Theatre - February 2013
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
LEICESTER Square Theatre has announced its theatre programme for February 2013.
Siro-A: Technodelic! – February 1 to April 22. Tickets: £17 – £8.50.
Often described as Japan’s answer to the Blue Man Group, Siro-A perfectly fuse modern technology with mime, breath-taking optical illusions, movement and comedy all set to a pulsating electro beat.
Described as a visually stunning show, it was performed to 30,000 people at the Shanghai Expo and won the Spirit of the Fringe award at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival.
The Bastard Children of Remington Steele, a play by Sadie Hasler – February 6 to February 9 at 7pm. Tickets: £9 – £7.
Raised by the occasional nun, three videos of Remington Steele, and a mangy cat named Moses, four grown children have a world-view which could subtly be described as…f****d.
The cast comprises Sadie Hasler, Sarah Mayhew, Charlie Platt and John Frost.
Healthy Heart – February 9 at 4pm. Tickets: £7.50 – £5.
When Monika’s Polish Grandma moves into the family home following a heart attack, her life takes a dramatic turn. But as her relationship with her Grandma develops, Monika is challenged to think about what it really means to have a “healthy heart”.
Stop Kiss by Diana Son – February 18 to March 9 at 7pm. Tickets: £12 – £10.
After Callie meets Sara, the two unexpectedly fall in love. Their first kiss provokes a violent attack that transforms their lives in a way they could never anticipate.
