Lost Boy extends W/E run and Jodie Jacobs joins cast
DUE to public demand, Phil Willmott’s acclaimed new musical, Lost Boy, will run for an extra month in the West End.
However, the production will end its current five-week season at Charing Cross Theatre as planned on Saturday, February 15, before re-opening on Monday, March 3 and running to Saturday, March 29, 2014.
The break comes because the theatre has a 2-week hire.
Jodie Jacobs, whose West End credits include Regina in Rock Of Ages (Shaftesbury and Garrick Theatres), Evita (Adelphi Theatre), Little Shop of Horrors (Duke of York’s and Ambassadors Theatres), Fame (Aldwych Theatre) and We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre), will join the cast as Tinker Bell.
Willmott will use the short performance break to make some subtle changes to the production. As he explains: “The break will allow me four days in the rehearsal room to focus the piece a little more, make cuts and improve one or two of the songs.”
Lost Boy is a dark sequel to Peter Pan reuniting JM Barrie’s characters as young adults on the eve of the First World War.
