Louise Dearman and Jon Robyns headline The Great British Musicals – in Concert
WEST End stars Louise Dearman and Jon Robyns are joining the cast of The Great British Musicals – In Concert at St. James Theatre, where it plays just three performances – on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5, 2014.
The Great British Musicals – In Concert, celebrates the very best of British musicals, including works by Gilbert and Sullivan, Lionel Monckton, Vivien Ellis, Noel Coward, Ivor Novello, Lionel Bart, Leslie Bricusse and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Louise Dearman made history as the first actress to play both starring roles in Wicked – Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. She has just starred as Mrs D. in the new musical version of The Water Babies at The Curve in Leicester. Her other major starring roles include Eva Peron in Evita and Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls.
Jon Robyns starred as Rod/Princeton in the original West End cast of Avenue Q and was in the original cast of Sondheim’s Road Show. His other West End credits include Spamalot, Les Misérables and Dickens Abridged.
The Great British Musicals – In Concert is hosted by Nicholas Parsons on July 4 and 5 at 7.30pm, and by Simon Callow on July 5 at 2.30pm.
