Bebe Sanders

Casting news

BEBE Sanders (pictured) and Georgia May Hughes will star in Sarah Milton’s Lucy Light, which runs at Theatre N16 from September 19 to October 7, 2017.

Bebe Sanders graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2013 and has since been in various projects including 3 Winters (National Theatre), Twelfth Night (Orange Tree Theatre) and a variety of international shows with Jethro Compton. She is currently in rehearsals for Pebbles, which she has written and will be performing in herself.

Georgia May Hughes graduated from the three year Acting course at Italia Conti this year. She has recently filmed on Kay Mellor’s new ITV drama Girlfriends and will be making her professional stage debut in Lucy Light.

Lucy Light tells the story of Jess and Lucy. Starting when they’re fifteen, the play maps the journey of Lucy’s decision to have a premature bilateral prophylactic mastectomy (removal of both breasts). We follow the girls from ages fifteen to twenty six, as they develop as women, deepen their understanding of their own identities, and battle with Lucy’s knowledge of the likelihood that she will develop breast cancer.

Scott Ellis directs.
