Madame Galina Prima Ballerina - Leicester Square Theatre
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
MADAME Galina Prima Ballerina – Ballet Star Galatica premieres at Leicester Square Theatre on Thursday, November 8, 2012.
Hosted by a waspish Russian ballerina battling to keep order and control proceedings between dancing death-defying pirouettes, Madame Galina Prima Ballerina – Ballet Star Galactica is a new monthly evening of vaudeville, guest artistes, quizzes and party games – complete with prizes.
Madame Galina Prima Ballerina pirouetted onto the London stage under an air of mystery a few years back.
Created with a nod to the great ballets of the world by tenor, writer and actor Iestyn Edwards, Madame Galina has been adored by audiences from the Aldeburgh Festival to Her Majesty’s Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Edinburgh Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, London’s leading cabaret rooms and Blackpool Tower.
This month’s guest stars are: Edd Muir, Chinese pole artiste; Grace Barry-Tait, swing singer; Delores Deluxe, magic act; Stewart Pemberton, juggling and tap; Kalki Hula Girl; and Jose Hugo, direct from Columbia.
The show also features Disco Obscura.
Tickets: £10 – available from the box office on 08448 733433 or online at www.leicestersquaretheatre.com/.
Time: 10pm.
