Much Ado returns to Lauderdale House

AS PART of the Camden Fringe Festival, Shooting Stars Theatre Company is presenting their national tour of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing on the tea lawn at Lauderdale House – from August 22 to August 26, 2012.

With the men returning from fighting in Afghanistan, Shooting Stars provide a fresh, modern and vibrant take on this old favourite, making it accessible to all.

Helen Crosse directs a cast that includes Tabitha Becker-Kahn (Beatrice), James Clifford (Don John), Graham Dron (Dogberry), Emily Grace Hyland (Hero), Roisin Keogh (Margaret), Garry Mannion (Don Pedro), Stewart Marquis (Leanato), Hayley Emma Otway (Margaret), Lewis Richardson (Borachio), Michael Totton (Benedick), Joe Sargent (Claudio) and Peter Steele (Verges).

Leading lady Tabitha Becker-Kahn grew up in Camden and two years ago, appeared on the tea lawn at Lauderdale House as Desdemona in Othello. Following Much Ado, she will embark on a national tour of Romeo and Juliet with Icarus Theatre.

Press night for Much Ado About Nothing is Thursday, August 23 and is a special fundraiser for Lauderdale Transformed – Lauderdale House’s £2 million project to transform the building, reveal more of its heritage and ensure its future viability.

For those with small children, Shooting Stars Theatre Company’s award-winning production of The Wind in the Willows is also scheduled for 2.30pm on August 26 and 27.

Join Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad on their marvellous adventure, exploring this famous tale of friendship and mystery. The company’s energetic and talented actors will take audiences on a enchanting journey to meet the animals of the woods and the riverside.
