Never Forget transfers to the Lyric Theatre

Never Forget

Story by Lizzie Guilfoyle

THE TAKE That musical, Never Forget, which closes at the Savoy Theatre on November 15, 2008, to make way for Carousel, will transfer to the Lyric Theatre for an open-ended run – from November 20, 2008.

Described as a “feel-good comedy about love, friendship, ambition and betrayal”, Never Forget tells the fictional story of a Take That tribute band and includes the hits Relight My Fire, Pray, Back for Good, Babe and, of course, the title song.

The current cast includes Stephane Anelli (as Jose), Dean Chisnall (Ash), Tim Driesen (Adrian), Craig Els (Jake), and Eaton James (Harry).

Never Forget received its world premiere at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, where it ran from July 20 to August 4, 2007. It subsequently toured to Glasgow, Manchester, Stoke and Edinburgh where it concluded on September 22, 2007. And on May 7, 2008, it began performances at the Savoy Theatre.

Never Forget has an original book by Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless, Clocking Off), Guy Jones and Ed Curtis, who also directs. The production is designed by Bob Bailey and choreographed by Karen Bruce, with costumes by Christopher Woods and musical supervision by Mike Dixon.

Never Forget is initially booking until April 25, 2009, at the Lyric Theatre. Tickets are available from August 8.

Meanwhile, Flamenco Flamen’ka, a dance show written and directed by Craig Revel Horwood, will run for a limited eight week period – September 18 to November 15, 2008 – at the Lyric Theatre.
