One Act Festival 2007 - Tabard Theatre
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
LOST Theatre Company is presenting its 23rd One Act Festival at Turnham Green’s Tabard Theatre – from April 16 to April 28, 2007.
From over 200 enquiries and 85 submitted scripts, Lost has selected 36 One Act plays to be presented across 12 nights. Of these, 32 are promising new writing, including four physical theatre pieces, two devised pieces and one international entry to be performed in Spanish.
The One Act Festival offers the unique opportunity for participants to receive instant feedback, as each evening the Adjudicator Mr Adrian Brown will present his thoughts and criticisms on the night’s entries.
At the end of the Festival, he will select the three shows that he feels best represent ‘Best New Writing’, ‘Best Direction’ and ‘Best Overall Play’. The award winners will then be given the chance to reprise their performances in front of an invited audience of industry professionals at the ‘Festival Winners Reception’.
Tickets: £11, £8 concessions.
