THE OVAL House Theatre Youth Arts team are launching their fifth annual summer school for young people aged 11-16 years – from Monday, July 21 to Saturday, August 16, 2008.

Rehearsals take place in St Mark’s Church, Kennington Oval from Monday, July 21 to Friday, August 15 (10am – 3pm); with performances in Kennington Park on Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 at 4pm and 6pm.

This year, the team are working on The Grimms TalesThe Girl Without Hands, The Frog King, The Boy Who Went Forth In Search of Fear and The Wolf and The Seven Little Kids – and are encouraging all those with an interest in the arts or an active imagination to get involved and try something new.

As well as performing, there are opportunities for young people to work behind the scenes with the technical team, making costumes and sets or designing the lighting and sound.

Cost: £40 for 4 weeks. All application forms must be returned by hand to the Oval House Theatre by Monday, July 14, 2008 along with full payment.

NB: Participants must be committed to all dates in the rehearsal schedule in order to take part in the performance.
