Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
THE Finborough Theatre production of Martin Sherman’s Passing By is transferring to the Tristan Bates Theatre, where it will run for a limited season – from November 5 to November 30, 2013.
Love isn’t forever. Love is just passing by.
Described as a charming romantic comedy, Passing By is about a love between two men whose hearts pull them together as their lives pull them apart.
First performed in New York in 1974, the production at the Finborough marked Passing By‘s first London revival in more than 35 years.
Sherman’s other work includes the multi-award-winning Bent, Messiah, When She Danced, Rose and the film Mrs Henderson Presents.
Passing By is directed by Andrew Keates and designed by Philip Lindley, with costumes by Philippa Batt and sound by Fred Riding. A new cast will join the production at the Tristan Bates Theatre.
