Positive - Waterloo East Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

WEST Avenue Theatre Company is presenting Positive, a new comedy by Shaun Kitchener, at Waterloo East Theatre – until June 1, 2014.

If Britney can get through 2007, then I can get through today.

Benji’s mantra has got him through the first year following his HIV diagnosis, and the time has now come to grab life by the balls and start living again.

With assistance from fun-loving housemate Nikki, guidance from his overbearing mother, and just a little help from Britney, Benji finally decides to get his love life back on track.

Inspired by true stories, Positive is described as an honest and uplifting story about an ordinary guy living with one of Britain’s most misunderstood diseases.

Tickets: £15, £13 concessions – available from the box office on 020 7928 0060 or online at www.waterlooeast.co.uk/.

Times: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm; Sunday at 4pm.

Running Time: Approximately 120 minutes (with an inteval).

Also at Waterloo East Theatre: the world premiere of Reggie Adams’ An Interview With Gaddafi (June 3 to June 29, 2014).
