Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

FOLLOWING itsuccess last year, the Rose will again be producing a Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, to help fund the work of the Rose Theatre.

Friends Patron Michael Aspel will introduce the evening of festive songs, poignant poems and witty readings all with a yuletide flavour. Speaking of which, he said:

“I’m delighted to be part of this year’s Rose Christmas Concert – the programme is a really entertaining mixture of music, readings, carols and humour. I can’t wait to see it!”

Joining him will be former Radio 2 broadcaster Sarah Kennedy, well-known Rose actor Adrian Lukis and Richard Sisson (formerly the Widow in Kit & The Widow). The Euphonix Community Choir led by Dominic Stichbury will ensure that everyone gets a chance to sing!

Show Producer Roger Chown said: “We had a very positive response last year and the ‘formula’ seemed to go down well with the audience. I hope we can make this year even better.”

Actor, Adrian Lukis, who has appeared in three memorable Rose Productions – The Winslow Boy, Hay Fever and As You like It – said: “I am really excited about being back on the Rose stage and very pleased to help the theatre in its fundraising efforts. It should be a cracking evening.”
