Royal Court's Hero - casting announced

LIAM Garrigan (as Danny), Daniel Mays (Jamie), Tim Steed (Joe) and Susannah Wise (Lisa) will star in Hero, which runs at the Royal Court (Jerwood Theatre Upstairs) from November 23 to December 22, 2012.
In EV Crowe’s story of an heroic modern man, Danny’s gay, a primary school teacher, and he’s not afraid of anything. His colleague Jamie’s straight, and thinks he should be.
Liam Garrigan (The Anniversary, West End, The Honeymoon Suite, Royal Court Theatre) and Daniel Mays have previously appeared together in the Donmar Warehouse production of Moonlight.
Mays is no stranger to the Royal Court having previously starred in six productions at the venue, among them Ladybird, Motortown, The Winterling and Scarborough. His screen credits include Mrs Biggs (as Ronald Biggs), Public Enemies, Outcasts and Ashes to Ashes (TV); Made in Dagenham and Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (film).
Tim Steed’s credits include The Pride (Royal Court Theatre), All My Sons (Liverpool Playhouse), Rocket to the Moon (National Theatre) and Much Ado About Nothing (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre).
Susannah Wise’s recent credits include A Doll’s House (Young Vic), The Holy Rosenbergs (National Theatre), The Fairy Queen (Glyndbourne) and Seven Jewish Children (Royal Court Theatre).
Hero is directed by Jeremy Herrin, Associate Director at the Royal Court.
