Boys and Pilkington guest star with Shoshana Bean

STAR guests have been announced for the London concert debut of Broadway legend Shoshana Bean on Tuesday, August 17, 2010.

At her 8pm show, they will be Oliver Tompsett (Fiyero in Wicked) and Daniel Boys (Princeton in Avenue Q).

While at her 11pm show, she will be joined by Dianne Pilkington (Glinda in Wicked), Gavin Creel (Hair, Mary Poppins) and Michael Arden (Aspects of Love).

Previously Posted: On Tuesday, August 17, 2010, Broadway’s Shoshana Bean will make her London debut starring in two exclusive West End concerts at the Ambassadors Theatre.

Bean, who first appeared on stage in New York City in an Off-Broadway revival of Godspell, made her Broadway debut in the original cast of the Tony Award-winning production of Hairspray. Later, she became the first replacement for the famed green-skinned witch Elphaba in the musical Wicked.

Most recently, Bean headlined in the Las Vegas burlesque revue Peepshow, which was conceived and directed by Jerry Mitchell (The Full Monty, Legally Blonde: The Musical).

In June 2008, she made her Los Angeles concert debut at the Ford Amphitheater and in November made her New York City concert debut to a sold out crowd at Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Bean recently released her debut solo album Superhero on her own label, Shotime Records. In it’s first week, it reached number 5 on the itunes R&B charts, making it the only independent album in the top 100.

For her London shows, presented by Jason Haigh-Ellery, Hugh De La Bedoyere and Christopher D Clegg, Bean will be joined by special surprise West End guest stars.

A special children’s show, The Night Before Christmas, runs at the Ambassadors Theatre from December 7 to December 24, 2010.
