DAME Judi Dench, Janie Dee, Sally Ann Triplett, Daniel Evans and Louise Gold will be joining original cast members (Julia McKenzie, Millicent Martin, David Kernan and Ned Sherrin) in the thirtieth anniversary performance of Side by Side by Sondheim on Sunday, May 21, 2006, at the Novello Theatre.
The show’s narrators will be Christopher Biggins, Derek Fowlds, Trevor McDonald, Sheridan Morley and Nicholas Parsons.

This special charity gala performance is in aid of The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, which provides respite and end of life care to terminally ill children and young people, as well as much needed support to their families.
Side By Side By Sondheim was first seen at the Mermaid Theatre in May, 1976. In July of the same year, it moved to Wyndhams Theatre and from there, to Broadway.
May’s performance will re-unite the show’s original stars – Julia McKenzie, Millicent Martin and David Kernan. They will be joined by guest stars from the world of television, stage and film.
