Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

NEW theatre company OddFlock are presenting Sitting with Thistle, their first production as a company, at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre – from Tuesday, October 1 to Saturday, October 19, 2013.

Written by emerging playwright Marietta Kirkbride, Sitting with Thistle is a tense domestic thriller, which focuses on the cracked relationship between two siblings shut in a house with death. Described as disturbing and strangely hilarious in equal measure, it questions generational divides at times of trauma.

Kirkbride’s award-winning and critically acclaimed script questions our respect for the dead and what truly makes us tick. Sometimes family rifts should simply stay buried.

Sitting with Thistle is performed by Mathew Foster and Pascale Morrison-Derbyshire, and co-directed and produced by Elf Lyons and Simon Kane. Design is by Jenny Davies.

Tickets: £12/£10 – available from the box office on 08444 77 1000 or from Ticketweb.

Times: Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm; Saturday matinees at 3.30pm.
