Six extends booking at the Arts Theatre until January 2020

Six

WITH many sold out performances and limited availability in the first booking period, Six is extending its run at the Arts Theatre until January 5, 2020.

In Six, the concert-style show with an all-female band, the six wives of Henry VIII take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing 500 years of historical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of 21st century girl power. From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, these Queens may have green sleeves but their lipstick is rebellious red!

Six The Musical – Studio Cast Recording – which has received over four million streams despite its limited 7-week run at the Arts Theatre in 2018 – was announced on The Curtain Up Show this week as Album of the Year – Best UK Cast Recording.

The winners were revealed live on The Curtain Up Show on Resonance FM by presenters Tim McArthur and Nathan Matthews, who said: “We both love Six and are delighted that it’s bagged Best UK Cast Recording! Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss have written one of the most exciting new British musicals in a very long time, so what better way to celebrate the show’s return to the West End than by awarding it Album of the Year?! Six showcases some of the best female singers and musicians in the country – long may it reign!”

Dates for the first US production of Six have also been announced at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre from May 14 to June 30, 2019.

Six has also been nominated for six Whatsonstage Awards – Best Musical, Best Off West End Production, Best Original Cast Recording, Best Choreography, Best Lighting Design and Best Costume Design.

The production has also been short listed for three Off West End Awards – Best New Musical, Best Choreography and Best Costume Design.
