Snow Play - Bloomsbury Theatre
LYNGO Theatre and the Lyric Hammersmith are presenting the critically acclaimed Snow Play at Bloomsbury Theatre – from Tuesday, December 10, 2013 to Saturday, January 11, 2014.
Winter, in the form of Mr White, refuses to leave when Mr Green, representing Spring, arrives back home from his holidays. Worse still, Mr White loves covering Mr Green’s house and garden with snow!
As the weather gets warmer the two embark on a series of adventures, in a fun-filled snowy-showdown between the seasons.
The show is directed and designed by Marcello Chiarenza and features Cbeebies star Patrick Lynch (Razzle Dazzle, Let’s Celebrate!) and veteran Italian children’s TV presenter Carlo Rossi. Music is by Cialdo Capelli.
Lyngo Theatre’s artistic director Patrick Lynch said:
“We are a great alternative to the usual pantomimes this Christmas. The Bloomsbury is home to some of the cleverest comics and the most thought provoking theatre in the country. Snow Play fits in very nicely here and delivers all you expect from a Christmas show without the cringe-making sing-alongs and the gaudy Dames you normally have to sit through. With us it’s good old-fashioned, non-stop, snow-filled, slap-stick, heart-warming, ultra-hyphenated entertainment from start to finish.”
Lyngo Theatre was formed in 2003, subsequently playing to over 100,000 people, with over 200 performances per year. As well as appearances across the world, the company have performed in venues across the UK, including the Unicorn and the Lyric Hammersmith in London, the Lowry in Manchester, mac in Birmingham and the Citizens and MacRoberts Arts Centre in Scotland.
Snow Play is suitable for ages 3 – 8 years.
