Bonnie Langford with Joe Pasquale

Casting news

ON MONDAY, February 24, 2014, Bonnie Langford returns to Monty Python’s Spamalot as The Lady of The Lake. The production has also extended its booking period at the Playhouse Theatre until April 12, 2014.

Fresh from her appearance on the current series of Dancing on Ice, Langford is reunited with Joe Pasquale who returned to the role of King Arthur last month.

The pair starred together in Spamalot last summer after Bonnie contacted Joe on Twitter, invited him to see her in the show and then suggested to the producers that he’d be a great King Arthur.

This time around, they will appear in Spamalot until Saturday, March 22, 2014.

Also joining the cast on February 24 is Daniel Boys (as Sir Lancelot), star of BBC1’s Any Dream Will Do, and stage shows including Rent, War Of The Worlds and Avenue Q. As well as releasing his solo album So Close in 2009, Boys performed I Know Him So Well with John Barrowman on his album Music, Music, Music. He also sings the theme tune on the TV show, Neighbours.

“Lovingly ripped-off” from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, Spamalot tells the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for the Holy Grail.
