Superior Donuts - casting announced
AS August: Osage County opens in UK cinemas on Friday (January 24), casting and creatives have been announced for the UK premiere of Superior Donuts.
Written by Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning American playwright Tracy Letts, it runs in The Little at Southwark Playhouse from Tuesday, February 11 to Saturday, March 8, 2014.
The line up includes Mitchell Mullen (as Arthur Przybyszewski), Jonathan Livingstone (Franco Wicks), Sarah Ball (Officer Randy Osteen), Nick Cavaliere (Max Tarasov), Alexander James Simon (Officer James Bailey), Amanda Walker (Lady Boyle), David Partridge (Luther Flynn), Tom Shepherd (Kevin Magee) and TJ Nelson (Kiril Ivakin).
Mitchell Mullen was in the company of Tracy Letts’ August: Osage County when it received its UK premiere at the National Theatre.
Jonathan Livingstone has appeared in the West End cast of War Horse, Cheek By Jowl’s world tour of ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore and Propeller’s world tours of Pocket Comedy and Pocket Dream, The Merchant of Venice and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Sarah Ball was nominated Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the TMA Awards for Polly Teale’s After Mrs Rochester for Shared Experience.
Nick Cavaliere was nominated Best Supporting Actor in the WOS Awards for Zorro at the Garrick Theatre. His other credits include Guys & Dolls (West End), the National Theatre’s One Man Two Guvnors and The Tempest.
Alexander James Simon appeared in Baby Doll (National Theatre and West End).
Amanda Walker’s credits include Orpheus Descending (Haymarket) directed by Sir Peter Hall.
Produced by The Trick (formerly Greenhouse Theatre Company) and Sarah Stribley Productions, Superior Donuts is directed by Ned Bennett and designed by Fly Davis, with lighting by Marec Joyce, sound by Giles Thomas and costume design by Jessica Knight. Composer is Theo Vidgen.
