THE 24 Hour Plays is one of the most exciting events in the theatrical calendar – thirty–eight young creatives, 24 hours, a 1,000-strong audience and enough adrenaline to fell a stampede of horses.
Applications are now open – for actors, writers, directors and producers. Wanted is the most exciting emerging talent in the business; the next generation of theatre-makers who can provoke, inspire and innovate.
This year, the selection process has been totally overhauled – from application forms to audition days. The new process means all the skills you need to showcase yourself on the day, and to succeed in the future, are being tested.
People, aged 18 to 30, who are right at the start of their careers as well as people who are already making headway, can apply at www.ideastap.com.
As Keviv Spacey, Artistic Director of The Old Vic, explains: “If you are committed to a career in theatre then this is the project for you.”
