The Boy With Tape On His Face - Duchess Theatre
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
THIS Christmas, The Boy With Tape On His Face (aka New Zealander Sam Wills) brings his award-winning show to the West End – to the Duchess Theatre, where it runs from December 17, 2012 to January 5, 2013 (22 performances only).
Described as funny, magical, innovative, spectacular and inspiring, it was a hit at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
With Wills miming sketches with a strip of gaffer tape over his mouth, The Boy With Tape On His Face is stand-up with no talking, drama with no acting and punchlines with no words.
Wills, who appeared in last year’s Royal Variety Performance, also recently performed at the BBC Comedy Proms with Tim Minchin and on ITV’s Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford.
For younger theatregoers, the Duchess Theatre is hosting Sooty in Space – from December 21, 2012 to January 5, 2013 (daytime slot).
Sooty’s rocket is on the launch pad and he’s off to explore the final frontier but with Sweep at the controls what could possibly go wrong? Everything!
With magic, music and lots of audience participation, Sooty in Space is described as an Intergalactic Giggle for the whole family, and stars Richard Cadell, Sooty, Sweep and Soo.
Our Boys continues at the Duchess Theatre until December 15, 2012.
