The Man Who Had All the Luck - Donmar Warehouse

CASTING has now been confirmed for Arthur Miller’s The Man Who Had All the Luck which runs from February 28 to April 5, 2008 at the Donmar Warehouse.
Andrew Buchan will play David Beeves, a man so blessed with good fortune that his life can’t get much better. However, as the lives of those around him begin to crumble, he starts to question his own destiny.
Miller’s great American fable follows one man’s struggle to change his fate and asks the question – is there such a thing as too much luck?
Buchan’s previous theatre credits include Posh (Royal Court), Ship of Fools (Theatre 503) and Romeo and Juliet (Royal Exchange Manchester).
Joining him in the cast of The Man Who Had All the Luck will be Nigel Cooke, Shaun Dingwall, James Hayes, Mark Lewis Jones, Aiden Kelly, Gary Lilburn, Roy Sampson, Felix Scott, Michelle Terry and Sandra Voe.
They will be directed by Sean Holmes whose previous work includes the Tricycle Theatre’s 2002 revival of Miller’s The Price which later transferred to the Apollo Theatre; Moonlight and Magnolias (Tricycle Theatre); The Entertainer (Old Vic); Julius Caesar and A New Way to Please You (RSC) and Incomplete and Random Acts of Kindness (Royal Court).
As well as The Man Who Had All the Luck, which he wrote at the age of 28, Miller’s other works include All My Sons, Death of a Saleman, The Crucible, A View from the Bridge, After the Fall, The Last Yankee and Broken Glass.
Following its run at the Donmar, The Man Who Had All the Luck will embark on a three-week UK tour – to The Lowry, Salford Quays (April 8 to April 12); Liverpool Playhouse (April 15 to April 19); and Hall for Cornwall (April 22 to April 26, 2008).
