Touched...For the Very First Time - Trafalgar Studios

Sadie Frost

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

BRITISH actress Sadie Frost will make her West End debut in Zoe Lewis’ one-woman comedy Touched…For the Very First Time, which runs in Trafalgar Studio 2 for a limited season – from February 4 to March 14, 2009.

Lesley, 36 years old and from Manchester, narrates her life from that earth-shattering moment in 1984 when, as a plump 14 year old, she hears Like a Virgin for the very first time. Convinced that her desire to ‘have it all’ is inextricably linked with Madonna’s own life, the love affair of a lifetime begins…

With classic songs from the 1980s and 1990s, Touched…For the Very First Time is described as an upbeat, nostalgic, fun evening of entertainment.

For Frost, whose career began at the Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre, Touched marks her return to stage acting. She has, however, starred in more than 20 films including Francis Ford Coppola’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula, The Krays, Uprising and The Heavy.

Lewis’ other plays include Flanders Mare, Glastonbury, Guns and Noses, Paradise Syndrome and Sharp Relief.

Presented by ILW Productions, Touched will be directed by Douglas Rintoul, designed by Colin Richmond, with lighting by Katharine Williams and movement by Jamie Bradley.

NB: Touched has not been authorised or approved in any manner by Madonna and she is not responsible for the content of the production.

Tickets: £22.50, £15 concessions.

Times: Monday to Saturday at 7.45pm, Thursday matinees at 3pm.
