Wild Life FM - Unicorn Theatre

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

KIM Noble, Pol Heyvaert and Jakob Ampe have joined forces with nine young singer/songwriters to create Wild Life FM.

A vivid musical exploration of the modern teenage psyche seen through the lens of a live radio show, it runs at the Unicorn Theatre from Friday, January 12 to Saturday, January 20, 2018.

Described as funny, angry and painfully honest, Wild Life FM elegantly evokes the confused raw tension of teenage life as the show navigates the worrying aspects of this time through music, conversation and on air phone-calls, all framed within a radio show.

Devised and created from the experiences of the performers and the songs they have written, Wild Life FM filters the restless urgency of these young people into a moving, yet raw exposition of what it like being young in 2017.

The performers are Tynet Monet Adewole (15), Michael Arhin-Acquaah (16), Megan Blair (18), Justin Campbell (20), Noah Horne (20), Malachi Alfred Lecky (18), Maria Olejnik (21), Oriana Page (16) and Poppy Read (17).

A Campo Arts Centre (Ghent), Unicorn Theatre, Norfolk and Norwich Festival Production in Association with Gessnerallzürich, Wild Life FM is devised by Pol Heyvaert, Kim Noble and the cast and is directed by Pol Heyvaert, with musical direction by Jakob Ampe.

Wild Life FM is suitable for ages 14+ (may contain strong language and sexual references).
