Reasons To Be Pretty - Piper Perabo to make Broadway debut

Reasons To Be Pretty

Story by Jack Foley

PIPER Perabo – of Coyote Ugly and Beverly Hills Chihuahua fame – is to make her Broadway debut in Reasons To Be Pretty, from March 13, to September 6, 2009.

Playwright Neil LaBute confronts America’s obsession with physical beauty head on in this dark comedy.

Greg’s tight-knit social circle is thrown into turmoil when his offhand remarks about a female coworker’s pretty face (and his girlfriend’s lack thereof) get back to said girlfriend.

The production co-stars Marin Ireland, Steven Pasquale and Thomas Sadoski and will be on at the Lyceum Theatre.

Commenting on the upcoming production, Perabo – a native New Yorker – said: “It’s extra daunting, yeah! Even as a kid, I would go to all the Broadway plays, so I know what a big deal it is living in New York. So, it’s a case of: “Oh my god!”

She has said she may consider coming to the West End if the play makes a transfer.
