AN EXHIBITION of extraordinary images of apes by James Mollison,
entitled Face to Face, runs at the Natural History
Museum's Jerwood Gallery until September 18, 2005.

 |
Exhibited for the first time, these
beautiful and emotive ape portraits highlight the vitality and
intelligence of these magnificent and endangered animals and their
similarity to man - all within the context of Charles Darwin's
theories of human evolution.
The exhibition also focuses attention on man's relationship with
and treatment of the natural world.
And a series of events will give visitors the chance to further
develop the ideas explored in the exhibition.
Opening times: Monday to Saturday 10am-5.30pm; Sunday 11am-5.30pm.
Admission: free
