THE first definitive photographic exhibition encapsulating all of the elements
of Formula One - from the crashes to the breathtaking victories - is now open
at Proud Camden Moss in Camden, thanks to Jaguar Racing.
'Formula One, The Exhibition' run until September 8 and features 50
years of motor racing, decade by decade.
Twenty of the most striking images of the sport have been hand-selected by a team of experts from an archive of over 500,000 images, capturing the greatest, most memorable and breathtaking moments of Formula One history since its inaugural race in 1950.
Images include the moment when Jos Verstappen made a pit stop in the 1994
German Grand Prix and a mechanic was engulfed in a fire caused by a fuel spillage
(pictured above), and the horrifici facial injuries sustained by Niki
Lauda following a crash in the 1976 German Grand Prix.
David Tremayne, editor of Formula One Magazine who helped choose some of the
images, said that it says a lot for the talent of the photographers involved
that they have managed to capture such telling moments from this 'fast-moving
sport'.
The exhibition also includes an exclusive look at Stewart-Ford Grand Prix,
Jaguar Racing and other shots covering Ford Motor Company's 35 year presence
in Formula One.
Photography which has never before been exhibited will also be on show from
the likes of Allsport, Darren Heath, Paul Henri-Cahier, Rainer Schlegelmilch,
Keith Sutton, Steven Tee (LAT) and the legendary Bernard Cahier.

years, Jaguar has dominated in virtually every competition from Le Mans to

One is very much part of this undertaking and we are proud it is taking place
in Britain."
Sir Jackie Stewart described the exhibition as 'a great British show for
a great British sport'.
