In early January 2005, Rankin embarked
on a whirlwind tour of Australia and over the course of nine days
explored some of the country's best-known places, including Sydney,
as well as lesser known outback and coastal areas.
Given the freedom to photograph as, what and when he pleased,
Rankin captured the true essence of this incredibly diverse country
and the fresh and powerful imagery from his trip is being exhibited
for a limited time only at the Sony Ericsson Proud Central Gallery.
Rakin's Australia - A Different Light therefore takes place from
January 26 to February 20, 2005.
